Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Holds a Master’s Degree in Speech-Communication, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders/Speech Services from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Certification: Possesses the appropriate Colorado Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist, qualified to serve individuals from ages 0-21.
Organizational Relationships:
- Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the Building Principal, maintaining a collaborative relationship to support the overall educational mission.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: The role primarily involves work within an office, classroom, and various educational settings, requiring adaptability to different environments.
Physical Demands:
- Activity Requirements: The position predominantly involves walking and standing, interspersed with periods of sitting. The role requires the ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds, navigate stairs, and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Manual Dexterity: Requires proficiency in using fingers to operate a computer keyboard and perform manual sign communication.
- Sensory Requirements: The work necessitates clear speech, as well as the ability to see and hear, with or without aids, to effectively communicate and perform job duties.
