Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to enhance the lives of our residents at a veterans memorial home. This vital role involves assisting our veterans with daily living activities, providing compassionate care, and enhancing their overall quality of life. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a healthcare team, ensuring each patient's comfort and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Mobility Assistance: Aid in walking, transferring, and various physical therapy exercises to promote residents' mobility.
- Health Monitoring: Take and record vital signs, monitor food and fluid intake, and report any significant health changes to nursing staff.
- Patient Support: Provide emotional and social support, actively engaging with residents to foster a positive, nurturing environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Proficiency with basic computer operations.
- Strong adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and assist with patient mobility.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated compassion, respect, and integrity in previous roles.
